GREENY PROJECT
Enhancing resource efficiency in mining and metallurgical processes, specifically focusing on manganese slag, by developing a comprehensive comprehension of:
-Characteristics of secondary mineral raw materials
-Micromechanics analysis of crushing and wear phenomena
-Attributes and standards of product qualities and quality.
The attainment of these aims is accomplished by implementing advanced crushing and grinding methodologies and employing them to exploit presently unutilized reservoirs of secondary raw materials. The instance of the GREENY project centres on the effective utilisation of slag, a byproduct generated during steel manufacturing, with the aim of promoting resource efficiency. The design and optimisation methods, procedures, and equipment that have been developed can be effectively utilised for other types of slag and secondary raw materials as well. The GREENY application involves the use of slag, which is a byproduct of industrial processes, as a source of valuable metals. These metals can be recovered from the slag by employing a combination of selective crushing and liberation techniques.
